Jakarta Acts Swiftly to Crack Down on Alcohol and Illegal Fees at Kalijodo Park"We received a report from residents that the shop we raided was operating 24 hours a day and selling various alcoholic beverages. We checked and confirmed the report, then seized the beverages," he said on Monday (10/26).
Teguh noted that all the seized alcoholic beverages would be destroyed along with evidence confiscated during enforcement operations in other areas.
"As a follow-up to the enforcement action, the shop caught selling alcoholic beverages has also been ordered to close for the next five days, in accordance with the agreement reached," he said.
He added that if the shop owner reopened before the closure period ended, particularly within the next two days, stricter sanctions would be imposed.
"The shop must remain closed for the next seven days. If the owner dares to reopen within two days, the police will permanently shut down the shop," he said.
Teguh hoped the firm action would deter similar violations and help maintain public order and safety.
"The sale of alcoholic beverages can lead to public order and security problems. We also want to protect young people from consuming alcohol," he asserted.
